Since 1975, the Camp Washington Community School has helped young people and adults earn their G.E.D. to better enter the job market. Staffed through a contract with Literacy Center West, the school averages 5-7 students for instruction or tutoring each night. The school is located at the community center at 2951 Sidney Avenue.

• Offers one-on-one GED instruction
• Offers students GED pre-tests
• Offers tutoring services

Hours of operation: Tuesday & Thursday, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

So for 2009, we had the following data:
Total Number of Students: 37 (up from 24 in 2008)
Total Number of Graduates: 3 (up from 2 in 2008)
Percentage of students who improved by at least one overall grade level:
Reading: 83% (up from 33% in 2008)
Math: 83% (up from 40% in 2008)
Language: 50% (up from 33% in 2008)
